We have been given the exciting opportunity to partner with a ’short-stay’ school to help them get out of Special Measures. Over the last few months we have set in motion a scheme to turn things around! The Learning to Listen team have consulted with teachers, parents and students finding out where THEY think things are going wrong, and right; and have put into place measures to target these issues. This video shows our first trip into the school and some of the consultations done with the teaching staff who are being sent on a five day Warrior Program to encourage and equip them for the transformation that they will be a key part of in their work environment. The only way is up!
See what you think. Watch it to the end & it will show you how Australia is dealing with the situation - unlike other countries! It’s not easy to watch, your stomach will turn & if you’re not screaming for someone to help the horse I’ll be suprised.
Enjoy the sun while it lasts. Have a good one

I got a fab e-mail from a friend of mine from childhood in Australia, Luke Thomas this morning. It was an amazing e-mail for many reasons with potentially life changing content. I thought you might like to see his website http://www.equineeinstein.com.au/.
It’s weird looking at the Aussie stuff, I get the feeling if I started mentioning Auras, Energies & Animal Communication they may look at me with two heads! I wonder if they are ready for that?
Well it’s been an interesting one up here today with a group of us combining Reiki, NLP, my Warrior concepts & horse training, interesting stuff. Even Smudge seemed to enjoy it! Well that’s it for me. Take care
Sarah
Alexander Nevzorov watch out! What this man could do with his Donkeys……. & a peice of string! See the resemblance at www.hauteecole.ru/en/ . Some wonderful sites on holiday. I drove my family crazy wanting to stop every time we saw the horses or donkeys roaming free around the place. I thinks that’s what they call natural.
I had the lovely Anna from Engaging Brand up here today. You can see what she does at www.engagingbrand.com. I met her at a WIRE talk we were doing. She is a very inspirational lady with a lot of wonderful knowledge on how to use the web to really work for you. Hopefully you will see some changes on here soon.
Lucy, this picture is for you!!! Isn’t he doing great. Saddle tomorrow. This is Luke the young lad I mentioned yesterday. He has a really great way with the horses & totally proves my point about ‘intentions speaking louder than actions’.
I also had the lovely Marcus Fasey, equine dentist, up here who shared a cool quote with me…….
Hi All,
How has your day been? I have had a fab day working with my new Instructors Al & Sarah. They are learning so much about how to combine meeting peoples needs, horses needs, staying safe, keeping the horse safe & adding value to all concerned. A lot for them to think about but they are doing really well. They had some great feedback from some clients they were working with today. I think the hardest thing to teach them is not to take on other peoples worries & ups & downs & that everyone is on their own unique journey of which we are mearly one part of. I am looking forward to our next day.
Lucy, if you’re reading this, your boy was fab today. Luke a young lad who has come back from Monty’s is training with us at the moment. He did some lovely work with him. Al prepped him yesterday to lay down his back & legs over his rump & Luke picked that up today going under him & over him. He never moved a muscle & was totally relaxed. No equipment at all!! You would have been so proud. Will get photos tomorrow. His name is Smudge so look out for his story on Al’s blog it’s quite interesting.
I have my first 5 day fast track Warrior Programme coming up in June. I am so excited. I will keep you all up to date with what’s coming up - there is a lot! I have been practicing my Aura readings on all my team & clients too - sooo cool.
Hello Everyone,
How are you all? We have missed everyone, but have to say we have had a wonderful time away. We had heard some not so good things about Turkey before we went so we were a little worried about what to expect. 11 of us went & we arrived at 1am to the most amazing villa. It was all white marble, white furniture & had everything you could ever need. There were 5 different outside seating areas, with cushions, bean bags, chess boards, BBQ area & above all that an amazing pool, Jacuzzi & outstanding mountain views, looking down to the sea. We were in heaven! Everyone had their own rooms & bathrooms & to top that Tortoises in the garden. The temperature was 27 plus every day & how glad am I to have a tan again. Being an Aussie I miss my tan. The people were wonderful, so helpful. The food was so tasty too. On the last day my sister & daughter Paraglided over the Blue Lagoon - 5th best beach in the world! They landed next to us sitting on bean bags on the beach, having a beer, watching the sun set over the mountains. Wow what a great day. I would reccomend it to anyone.
Our Open Day was an overwelming success this year. I was so glad the mind, body & spirit side of it was recieved well by all. The sun was here too! The Warrior Programme had a great audience & Sharon Hall from Deep River Coaching was a real star. My horse ‘Liv’ really challenged her leadership but Sharon hung in there & their demo was great.
I just wanted to say thank you all for coming to see us & support us & a massive thank you to our helpers this year. We couldn’t do it without you. My team were amazing as usual & our new teacher managed to get through Ofsted & an open day all in one week! Not bad going.
Well there is so much going on up here I think the blogs are all going to be in full use. I’m going to be ringing around everyone to catch up & get feedback & ideas from you all.

Yes, bizarre I know! About two months ago the crew from C4’s “Gok Wan’s Fashion Fix” arrived at Learning To Listen. They needed a ranch style setting to film 8 lovely ladies from Rotherham road testing different styles of jeans - on a mechanical bucking bull!
We had such a laugh with them all and the film was aired last night. For anyone who missed it you can catch it on http://www.channel4.com/programmes/goks-fashion-fix
